This has been a successful year in the development of McAlpine Miller’s current works. To date his career has continued to grow and develop, mostly preferring to work outside the realms of the art establishment, though he has successfully exhibited with notable galleries throughout the United Kingdom and Europe. It is only now that he feels truly represented by his paintings and it is now that he is being revealed as an original and thought provoking Artist.

This year is the 40th anniversary of the release of David Bowie’s Ziggy Stardust album.

There will be an unveiling of a plaque in Heddon Street, London where the original photo was taken for the album cover. This will be particularly unique as it will be only the second plaque ever
featuring a fictional character, the other being Sherlock Holmes. Terry Pastor, the artist who created this iconic album cover, has been asked to attend as one of the guests of honour at the unveiling in Soho’s Heddon Street on 27th March 2012. He has also been interviewed by Gary Kemp (of Spandau Ballet) for BBC Radio 2.
